Berrak Yedek was born in Istanbul in 1974. Her journey into the world of movement and music began at the age of five in Germany, where she started dancing and studying music. Over the years, she lived in Saudi Arabia, Turkey, England, and briefly in Russia, each place enriching her dance education and broadening her artistic perspective.

She studied literature and translation at Boğaziçi University in Istanbul, where she also founded her private dance company, Kumpanya Bale Türk. With the company, she created and produced 11 original works, performed in various cities across Turkey. Her artistic focus has always centered on the deep connection between movement and music, working across both traditional Turkish forms and contemporary expressions.

From 1999 to 2005, Berrak lived in Paris, collaborating with a range of dance and theatre companies as a dancer, actress, choreographer, and freelance teacher. During this time, she also produced and performed her own work.

In 2005, she relocated to Prague, Czech Republic. Between 2002 and 2010, she served as a contemporary dance teacher and creative work consultant at the Duncan Centre Conservatory, a key institution in Czech dance education.

She later co-founded the Performing Arts Track in the Management of Performing Arts Department at Bilgi University in Istanbul, where she taught improvisation, creative process, and composition as a visiting lecturer for over a decade.

In Prague, Berrak founded Limpid Works, through which she produced seven original stage productions in collaboration with international artists. Over time, Limpid Works grew to include a dedicated studio space for the practice of Somatic Dialogue®, a method Berrak has developed over many years of embodied research and creative exploration. Since 2018, she has fully dedicated herself to deepening and sharing this unique somatic practice.

Today, she shares Somatic Dialogue® through workshops, private sessions, and the Facilitators Program, which trains others to guide and share this somatic work. In parallel, she continues to mentor artists, dancers, and actors, supporting their creative processes and professional development.
